It’s #WUFO Time! Also, Happy Summer Solstice! This is #WUFO Week 23! If you’re new, here’s a FAQ that will get you started. Reminder: send us a picture of your completed punch card and we’ll send you a little something in the mail!
At its very core, WUFO is a fun break from the week to hang out and enjoy each others’ virtual presences. You can do as little as go outside (or check a sky cam) at 10 PM your local time, or as much as hosting your own WUFO watch party (virtually or IRL)! WUFO has also created itself in a way and is continuing to grow all on its own – we’re here for the ride, wherever it may take us. We’re glad you’re here, too!
Weekly Live Contact Session
Since the 2nd official week of WUFO, we’ve held weekly contact sessions live on TikTok, YouTube, and a variety of other social media platforms. During these virtual hangouts, we attempt to divine with the aerial entities (whoever they may be) using a variety of methods, from foundational to experimental. This has been an absolute blast and we can’t wait for the next one!
This week, however, we will be taking a week off from the Live Contact Session – to be fair, we’ve done 22 weeks of shows consecutively, uninterrupted. Garrett will be near an infamous UFO spot but cell service/Wi-Fi is spotty. Bex is attending a MIB 75 year Birthday Bash with Jim Perry near Maury Island, and will also have unreliable cell service/Wi-Fi. Jeremy will be deciding whether he wants to offer permanent residence to the beings in his UFO Jar (they’ve been there for WEEKS, y’all!). So, let’s recharge during this break and next week we’ll be back with an awesome guest and show lined up for y’all!
Stargazing Side Quest
Your Wednesday Night UFO Watch party side quest is here, courtesy of Astrologer Extraordinaire Maighdlin Kelly!
Mostly astronomical, sometimes a bit astrological, pretty weird, and weirdly practical, let’s take a look at what cool space thing we’ll be looking for in the sky together this week:
For #WUFO 23 we will be looking for the north star! Well, the star that was the north star in… 12,000 BCE.
That star is 🌟VEGA🌟
Vega is a pretty easy star to find in the night sky because it’s so bright. Its the brightest star in an itty bitty constellation called Lyra. You can find it in the eastern sky between Draco, Hercules, and Cygnus. In an urban sky its prob just gonna be the bright one in the east.
Use a star map app to help locate it if you need help. I use these apps all the time.
You can discover more about the mythology and science behind this star here.
Because the earth’s tilt on its axis also wobbles (think of a spinning top) the North Star changes over time due to the difference in orientation. This gives us a 26,000 year cycle of pole stars (among other things; different thread, different day 😉).
Like I mentioned earlier, the Pole Star used to be Vega. Currently the pole star is Polaris, but in another 12,000 years it will once again be Vega. More about that here.
Vega is a really cool star astronomically, and it has a lot to offer mythologically and astrologically as well. If you want to learn more about this important fixed star from an astrological context, I highly recommend the work of @feralvenefica and @cielosueloastro.
Thats all for this weeks blending of astronomy, astrology, mythology, and ufology (which almost autocorrected to urology, ha)
Don’t forget to tag #WUFO and @LiminalEarth if you spot Vega in the night sky! Let us boost and celebrate your stargazing achievement! 🌟🔭
Also! If you’ve been enjoying these weekly stargazing side-quests then you’ll love the new class I’m hosting called Stargazing for Paranormal Investigators!
In this class we’ll learn about star-hopping, what in the sky is most likely to be mistaken for UFOs, and more! Spots are limited and are filling up so sign up here if you’re interested. This is a live class, but live attendance is not required. Reserve your spot here.

Last Week’s Recap
Last week’s Live Contact Session was so much fun! We were joined by our friend Courtney Block, and had a blast discussing dreams and how they often times intertwine with extraterrestrial contact experiences.
Then, both Bex and Courtney went “under” for a dual Estes Method session.
The official transcript is currently being written, check back here soon.
You can watch the full, unedited stream (and all past WUFO streams) by joining Liminal Earth’s Patreon for just $1!
Let’s see what folks got into this past week:

Bex and Jim Perry will be attending the 6/22 MIB Birthday Bash at 6:22 PM tonight! Listen to them interview the co-founder of the Maury Island Incident Historical Society/co-chair of the event on the latest episode of Nite Drift. Garrett will be near where this incident took place on vacation with his family. We’re hoping they both have enough cell signal to join the Live Contact Session and report from the field/event!
Once 10:00 PM PST rolls around, we will head outside to look up and spend some time gazing at the sky. Bring plenty of snacks, blankets, and maybe some hagstone binoculars (if you just happen to have some around, like Jeremy). This concludes today’s WUFO post – we are SO excited for tonight’s watch! Who’s going to be “looking up” with us?!
